1. Mentor team

By integrating the educational resources of Zhonghe College and Zhejiang University, UniTTEC provides an incubation service platform of professional technical training and talent cultivation for Zhonghe College. Based on Zhonghe College, UniTTEC sets up a technical training personnel training platform and forms the Maker-space Innovation Entrepreneurship College. On the basis of quality education of entrepreneurship based on technological innovation and relying on Zhejiang University, UniTTEC establishes a joint talent-training base of modern rail transit held by Zhejiang University and UniTTEC. The college makes full use of and integrated high-quality international entrepreneurship education resources of Zhejiang University to create entrepreneurship education programs in line with Chinese reality and endowed with global perspective to further build up an entrepreneurship dream workshop for cultivating of entrepreneurship spirit, improving of entrepreneurship ability, and practicing of entrepreneurship dreams.

Regular training (refresher) classes for technical personnel of intelligent transportation are carried out specifically to train professional and technical personnel, and training is held for intelligent transportation engineers and vocational training for supportive personnel. A pool of experts and professional and technical talents, etc. is built and joint education of talents between universities and enterprises enhanced.

In terms of talent development and training, we employ entrepreneurs, angel investors, experts and scholars as entrepreneurial mentors. 2. Key technical services

Based on the mode of industry-university-research cooperation, "Intelligent Transportation Mass Innovation Space" provides inexhaustible innovation power for industrial development and technology research and development support for innovation and entrepreneurship. Relying on the existing scientific research equipment and resources of scientific research institutions, UniTTEC integrates the research and development capabilities of domestic and foreign universities and scientific research institutions to create university-enterprise joint technology centers and public laboratories of leading industries. For example, it has built the National Train Intelligentization Engineering Technology Research Center, the National & Local Joint Engineering Laboratory, the Integrated Simulation Technological Service Platform of Urban Rail Transit Signaling System, the Bid Data Research Center, the Artificial Intelligence Research Center, the Signaling System Engineering Research Center, CNAS laboratories, etc., conducting joint research and development and providing regional development services.

At the same time, on the basis of existing resources and in close consideration of major needs of industrial transformation and upgrading, UniTTEC invested special funds to build a research and development service system and public laboratories for applied technology development, introduced domestic and foreign leading talents, and cultivated industrial research and development teams. Relying on an intellectual property trading platform, it strengthens exchanges and cooperation between demanders and suppliers of technology transformation, and establishes a scientific R & D demand confirmation mechanism and target orientation.

 


Innovation Platform Service


1. National Train Intelligentization Engineering Technology Research Center:

The National Train Intelligentization Engineering Technology Research Center is committed to the following: the establishment of an intelligentized train sensing and detection technology development platform, as well as an R & D laboratory with key equipment of train Intelligentization with intermediate testing functions and with key sensing detection technologies; establishment of a sound intelligentized train data processing and digital technological system and standard system, as well as an R & D testing center of intelligent train decision and digital expression technologies with intermediate testing functionality; all these to form a complete structure containing a development platform of system integration and generic technologies, an R & D laboratory of key equipment and new technologies, a technological service base, and a technology transformation base, etc. and an engineering research center integrating such functions as technological R & D, transformation, exchange, and talent training, and so on; becoming an important technological and information base for preparation of standards in the high-speed railway industry.


2. National and Local Joint Engineering Laboratory:

The National and Local Joint Laboratory of Urban Rail Transit Communication & Train Control and Electromechanical System (hereinafter referred to as the Laboratory) was approved to be established by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2015. It is supported by UniTTEC Co., Ltd., and joined by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Zheda Insigma Group Co., Ltd. Noting advanced technologies and system integration technologies and shortcomings of the conventional development process model and test model of urban rail transit communication, signaling, electromechanical system, the laboratory constantly performs cutting-edge technology research, development, testing and standard formulation. Six sub-platforms are built including simulation test, safety and reliability design and analysis, system application integration, new generation operation and control coordination system, communication security research and analysis, and electromechanical system. It carries out research on the safe, efficient, punctual and reliable operation of the entire control system of urban rail transit vehicles 7x24 and throughout and the full life cycle, improves professional reliability design and safety analysis ability, and lays a foundation for the construction of highly reliable and highly safe urban rail transit dispatching & commanding and operational management in an informationalized environment.

The laboratory is directly led by the Technical Center subordinate to the board of directors of the company, and an academic committee is set up therein. The laboratory director is responsible for the laboratory. In order to manage daily administrative affairs and various communication activities of the laboratory, the Comprehensive Management Department of the laboratory is set up. At the same time, the laboratory has developed a detailed standard system to ensure coordinated operation of various institutions and departments. The laboratory is now having a faculty of 306 people, including professional and technical personnel of 300 people. It has a technical team with many years of experience in the field of rail transportation technology, and has area of 2,800 square meters, equipped with the most advanced domestic network infrastructure, host equipment, storage equipment, and a large amount of high-end software. It has built an advanced information platform and network development environment oriented to research and development and satisfying all kinds of scientific research needs like research, development, testing, intermediate test, checking, and so on. From 2016 to 2017, 20 scientific and technological projects were developed, including 2 National Scientific and Technological Support Plan projects, which passed acceptance in 2018. 25 patents including 15 invention patents have been obtained. External cooperation is actively maintained and close contact kept with many owners.

 

3. Comprehensive Simulation Technology Service Platform of Urban Rail Transit Signaling System:

A simulation system of line/trackside equipment, a simulation system of vehicle/on-board equipment and a service platform information system are constructed; automated system verification and integrated evaluation environment is created, a training base for professionals of the signaling system discipline formed, and specifications of signaling system simulation access interfaces prepared; a basic platform of integrated simulation service of urban rail transit signaling systems and an integrated simulation service of signaling, traction/braking mechanism have been built; the company has the ability of comprehensive simulation technology service and personnel training of urban rail transit signaling systems, and provides simulation service platform products for owners and other training institutions.

The platform can simulate real line and trackside equipment (such as platform screen doors, switches, signals, beacons, platforms and sections, etc.), vehicles and vehicle-mounted equipment, signaling systems (such as interlocking controllers, zone controllers and vehicle-mounted controllers, etc.). For users of rail transit planning and construction units, operation and management organizations, etc., it provides multi-dimensional consulting, testing, verification services from the perspective of signaling system safety and reliability, such as preliminary planning and optimization of traffic lines, validation of signal system prototypes, verification of interoperation schemes based on such specifications as ETCS or CTCS, or else, validation and validation of system tests, practical training of driving, dispatching and maintenance professionals, optimization of operational schemes related to improving of train control performance, and analysis of accidents involving signaling systems. In September 2016, the company won at RMB 17.1 million the bid of the "Integration Procurement Project of Communication, Signaling, Comprehensive Monitoring and Automatic Fare Collection System Equipment at the Training Base & Training Center of Chengdu Metro", which is an important part of the construction of the Chengdu training base.

 

4. CNAS Laboratory Recognized by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment:

The laboratory is a testing center that provides calibration, environmental adaptability, electromagnetic compatibility and other testing capabilities for sensors and sensory network equipment. In the company's direction of key technology research and product development, the testing center has configured testing equipment and personnel according to key and daily testing and verification requirements. The main testing capacity covers all EMC and safety testing items except electromagnetic darkroom, and the environmental testing capacity includes vibration, impact and temperature and humidity regulation boxes. The sensor calibration capability mainly covers measurement objects of various acceleration, temperature and pressure types, and the calibration has first-level datum traceability. The testing laboratory was certified by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) in 2014.

 Innovation Space" links intellectual property resources of Zhejiang University and international cooperation. Relying on Zhejiang Intellectual Property Exchange Center, it establishes a one-stop full-process service system of online and offline intellectual property operation. Taking intellectual property pledge financing as the starting point, we will comprehensively explore intellectual property investment and financing services; provide intellectual property value analysis and evaluation services; through expert evaluation, experiment and other ways, provide effect identification services of patented technologies; build a patent technology incubation platform, promote industrialization of patented technologies, provide patent portfolio related to leading industries for scientific and technological parks, and explore sources of innovation and entrepreneurship for scientific and technological parks.
